  1. I'm done with 11

To be honest I couldn't care less about the corners being round or square.
  2. Solved Computer will not boot normally to Windows 11 after RAM Upgrade

Tell her the truth about the laptop and let her decide. I don't see taping the wire as a permanent fix.
  3. New PC installation

You won't need to create a new MS account. You can sign-in to your existing account. By home page are you referring to the desktop background or the home page in your browser. I have Sync turned on for all of my computers and the backgrounds do sync up. I also have Sync turned on in Edge and my...
  4. It's Official. Windows 11 is Vista 2.0

The way I see it is I don't have to live with them so I couldn't care less of what they think of me. I guarantee that if someone blocks me, I won't lose any sleep.
  5. Insider KB5006746 Windows 11 Insider Preview Beta and Release Preview Build 22000.282 - Oct. 15

When I had trouble using a pin to sign-in on my old laptop running Win 10 I had to reset the TPM in the BIOS. Sometimes the pin wasn't recognized. After that I couldn't use my pin because it was deleted from the TPM. I was able to sign-in using my password and change my pin number.
  6. It's Official. Windows 11 is Vista 2.0

I have to admit that there has been time I replied to a very long thread without reading all the post. I also have a habit of replying to a post as I come to them and then finding out they have already been solved.
  7. It's Official. Windows 11 is Vista 2.0

The one thing I would like to change is the Start Menu. I hate all that wasted space used by the Recommended section. Unless MS allows us to remove that area, I'll live with it. I won't use third party programs that may cause problems down the road.
  8. Free Windows Insiders 7th Anniversary Wallpaper

I normally use family photos. Sometime I'll temporarily use images I downloaded just to have a change.
  9. Solved Using Macrium to move a Windows VM to a second SSD?

I had a slight problem today after doing the update in the Dev build. When I did a restart my computer wouldn't boot. When I loaded the BIOS I saw that the boot drive order was changed. I had to select my Nvme drive (drive 1) instead of the SSD drive (drive 0) as the boot drive.
  10. Windows 11 available on October 5

I think we're on the same page. Unless someone really wants to do a clean install, it should be used as the last resort.
  11. Windows 11 available on October 5

I hope your kitties weren't looking over your shoulder while you were typing that post. :) The problem is that a very large number of users wait until after the damage is done to ask for help.
  12. Windows 11 available on October 5

I'm saying that you did have problems before doing a clean install and a clean install fixed them. From your post, "The clean install eliminating the stutter on some audio, now displays the count of unread messages in the TB icon, reduced the space used by the OS, eliminated some manufacturer...
  13. Windows 11 available on October 5

I try to only do clean installs when I feel it's needed. I have a lot of programs that are a pain to reinstall and setup. I have a few programs that I can only move if the software company is willing to reactivate them for me. When I bought my new desktop, I did do a clean install and it was a...
  14. Windows 11 available on October 5

@BunnyJ, you liked a post recommending clean installs and one stating to be prepared to do a clean install if needed. Which way do you think is right? One can't go both ways.
