  1. Media Player version 11.2401.2.0. Is there a way to get rid of the "could not complete the rip" message?

On the far left of the sfc page are tmp80c. THAT particular segment lists all kinds of sections of my rig with the words "true" and "false" being liberally used. Is THIS what you were looking for, ap?

WHat I see is a long series of letters and numbers and symbols and it ends with txt.

All I meant was, there was no information on that page. As far as the CMD PROMPT, I did exactly as the directions stated, but there is nothing. I right and left clicked on various choices. You want me to send you a screenshot? Really?
  4. Media Player version 11.2401.2.0. Is there a way to get rid of the "could not complete the rip" message?

The sfc details folder, when I open it, is empty. In the folder there are some areas named "sfc details" which I tried to open, with all clicks. Nothing. Am I missing something?

I took it through all the way to sfc details, and see nothing. It just went back to the original prefix and sat there, blinking, so there is nothing to send.

Not sure about the above. I ran "scannow" and got a list of items that it does, but no errors that it fixed. Is this what you meant, ap?
  7. Media Player version 11.2401.2.0. Is there a way to get rid of the "could not complete the rip" message?

No, it stayed open. "The Restore operation completed successfully." "The operation completed successfully". And that was all.

antspants, I had totally forgotten that tool existed! Thanks! I ran it just a bit ago, and everything checked out. If that program made any corrections, though, how would I know?

Understood. I felt that way about 2001 A Space Odyssey and Barry Lyndon.

Hey Edwin. Why are your Handel Organ Concertos labelled Wang Chung: To Live And Die In LA? 😉😊 Short-term memory is the pits (for me), but every now and then I can catch something which piques my interest.

Nothing to say and no apology needed, Edwin. I do miss being able to actually set the speed of the rip, don't you?
  12. Media Player version 11.2401.2.0. Is there a way to get rid of the "could not complete the rip" message?

Yes, I do still have it - and this is "funny": Some discs would give me that message and I have had 2 so far, that have worked on MP when they didn't on Legacy. Did someone in this thread mention a newer MP yet?
  13. Media Player version 11.2401.2.0. Is there a way to get rid of the "could not complete the rip" message?

No. After that much music I made sure to clean it using one of those cd's with the brushes and a drop of that liquid. It just works sometimes, like 20 cd's and then it starts its "spiel" like it's letting me know, "This is what happens when I get tired, brah! Deal with it!" 😉

I'm having a bit of a problem with WMP Legacy, guys. I was finishing my Christmas Collection and when I inserted a cd, down at the bottom - about where you'd expect to see the play time remaining the machine started showing me black rectangles - only there, and my ripping went to poop. I started...

I *did* have "Auto-Play" turned on. Off now and Legacy is behaving normally. I don't suppose there's a way to delete the "new" one and keep Legacy? I sure am glad I made it to this forum. I was beginning to think I should have waited and kept W10 instead. Thanks to everyone one again. When I...
