what if the virus is a usb virus that intentionally deletes usb records so that it cannot be found

no the same devices for over a month and it never deleted the old usb entries but one day they were randomly deleted

in this thread i posted almost a week ago usbdeview logs there were usbdeview entries that were deleted off of my computer for no apparent reason i was wondering if this could be due to a usb virus infecting my computer and deleting usb logs to cover its traces

what would possibly explain 1 month old entries disappearing? could it be that someone was messing with my computer? i had an update a day before that is the only thing i could think of

i have had usbdeview for a month on my laptop and there were about 20 logs or so but when i checked today over half of them were deleted could this be due to someone tampering with logs or does windows purge logs from time to time? i also have usbdrive installed and none of my usbdrive logs were...
