    Sorted! I set up a new account and tried a cut & paste.. It worked. I was using Teracopy in my 'normal' account & not in the 'new' account. That was the problem. Once I deleted Teracopy in my 'normal' account, everything is now working again. Thanks for the help. I think that I was over...

    Correct. Ctrl+X is NOT cutting files, it is copying files only Ctrl+V is NOT pasting files it is also copying files!

    Yes, I've rebooted many times, checked updates, done SFC scannow & checked system files. Nothing helps. Short cuts just copy, no delete of the source file.

    I'm running Windows 11 24H2 & am having an issue with File Explorer. It opens with the normal drive listings, library's etc on the left, the right shows contents thereoff, all normal so far. I have no tabs, only 4 menu's at the top left. File, Edit, View & Tools. Files show very basic stuff...

    My ASUS Ryzen 7 laptop updated itself on Saturday night. A bit strange, as updates normally happen on Tuesdays. So I cannot find any differences with this 24H2 update, apart from a Settings Page change/tweak. What it DID do was to totally mess Windows Explorer. - maybe I was just unlucky...

    All of a sudden, my laptop also would not go to Sleep, so I'm using Hibernate. That also works when I close the lid.

    My laptop also does not go into Sleep when I close the lid. It always did go to sleep, but it stopped doing it a few days ago. I set it to Hibernate, when closing the lid, and that works.
