I have Quickbooks on two network PCs. The network has a 1 gig switch and right now all PCs have 1 gig nics. Quickbooks is very slow to load and even runs slower on the PC that accesses the data file over the network. I have two 10 gig nics. A 10 gig network switch is rather expensive. If I add the two 10 gig nics to both network PCs with a direct connection will the Quickbooks traffic default to these fast nics and speed up QBs on the PC that does not host the data file? I don't know a simple way to force all the QBs traffic through the faster nics and, of course, both PCs need to be on the greater network for internet access and other things.
