I have a z690 MSI tomahawk Wi-Fi DDR4 13900k MSI 4090 and win 11 22h2
When I first built the system aside from the usual lower time spy cpu score in win 11 22h2 my cpuz multithreaded score was around 16500 and single 885 and 3dmark timespy extreme cpu score 12.5k I thought it was the outdated ME firmware and MEI engine like some have reported on 13th gen so updating that the cpuz scores went to 16900/898 and cpu score 13k in timespy extreme so I don’t care about the cpu scores here’s is where it gets weird so just hear me out
now that I have been keeping ME firmware and MEI engine updated my system on occasion will like switch modes sometimes. Sometimes the cpuz and 3dmark score will be 885/16500 12.5k 3dmark and sometimes 16900/898 13k 3dmark I understand it’s margin of error but heres the deal breaker when it’s in the lower mode the 4090 gpu score in timespy extreme will be 15k not normal at all and when it’s in the higher mode almost 20k.
I don’t care about the cpu score I only care about gpu score. I can always tell which gpu score I’m getting because of the cpuz scores. It will always go back sometimes either mode lasts a few days and I have no idea what triggers it.
Maybe I shouldn’t care because in games the fps is the same horizon zero dawn bench shows 187 vs 191 fps I’ve seen no games affected by the massive 3dmark gpu score difference at all which makes me think it’s bug.
Does anyone know what the heck?
