I recently purchased a new mini pc to replace the latop that I use in my shed (man cave). I never set up any printers thinking I didn't really need too. Tonight I needed to print something and was just going to print it as a PDF to the desktop. When I clicked on print, my Brother laserjet was installed and set as the default. I clicked on print and it actually printed. My HP Officejet printer also shows up in Devices and Printers. I haven't tried printing with it yet. I can remember that there were times in the past that I had to go through heck and high water to get a printer working over Wi-Fi. That includes having to download software and temporarily connect the printer to the computer. I'm known for blasing MS when I think they messed up so I wanted to post this because I also feel they should be praised when they do something right.

Hey Winuser I had an almost identical experience as yours, past and present. With W10 I've always had to fight it out to set up a new printer or set it up with a new computer. My present computer was sold as having W11 but it didn't, it had 10 and I downloaded 11 before ever introducing the printer. The printer showed up in Devices and Printers, all I had to do was select my printer as the Default device/printer, hit print, and it worked! Like you said, no software, no problems, it just worked! I was amazed!
