Solved A huge screenshot is covering my desktop

I just installed Windows 11. Everything was going fine as I Googled and seached out where things were. I had just had Gimp open and was changing the format on a screenshot and next thing I knew that screenshot was huge and covered my desktop so that I can't get to any of the files or folders on it. I tried opening Explorer and deleting the screenshot but it's still covering my screen. Can someone please help me out here?

As you can see, some of my desktop items are showing through this screenshot, but not all.

BTW, I have restarted, and then shut completely down and started and it still doesn't go away.

Looks like you have simply asked that the image be saved as your desktop background.
Go into settings, personalisation and change the background.

Have you tried right-click on desktop then select 'Personalise' from the drop-down menu followed by 'Background'. From this screen you should be able to select another background photo by browsing.

Yes, I finally did that and problem solved. I have no idea how that screenshot became a background or how it got selected as my background, but just happy the problem is solved.

Welcome to Eleven Forum.

It was probably just a slip of the fingers. Do you use Firefox as your browser? If so, then a right-click on an image in a page includes the option to 'Set image as desktop background'. Similarly, a right-click on any image in File Explorer has a 'Set as desktop background' option.
