Thank you, So if ( for the past year) I would rt. mouse click on a link on this forum & view it in a new tab. I might find a way for the new tab not to open in Bing? I've disabled and or removed Bing & some other browsers - but, Bing opens up. (with a blank page) ?? It's haunting me?

Bing isn’t a browser. When you say right click on a link and it opens in Bing, are you referring to Microsoft Edge? Does right clicking a link open Edge and not a new tab in Chrome?

To change what a new tab in Chrome shows:

  1. Open Chrome: Launch the Chrome browser on your computer.

  2. Access Settings: Click on the three dots (More) in the top right corner of the browser window, then select "Settings".

  3. Go to On Startup: On the left-hand side of the settings window, click on "On startup".

  4. Choose Open a Specific Page: Select the radio button that says "Open a specific page or set of pages".

  5. Add the Page: You can then either add a new page by clicking the "Add new page" button and entering the URL or use the current set of pages.

  6. Save Changes: The changes will be saved automatically, so you can close the settings window.

Whatever browser you're in, the right click Open in new tab/page should open in that same browser make/model, either as a tab in the current browser session, or a new session in the same browser make/model

However it should be noted that Edge browser + Bing search are intrinsically embedded in Windows, and any links in non-3rd party browsers will use both/either of these as the default, including the Windows Search facility, irrespective of your settings for the default browser

@antspants We did this once a while ago. I went into chrome & removed all 5 browsers. Chrome is my default. Edge never opes up.​

but, it does open to bing? Let me look at your Post #5 above. ....

I just rt. clicked on a 1/2 a dozen links on a google search, They all open up in Chrome !! So you think antspants gave me the right info.

EDIT: I should have said: Bing is a search engine, not a web browser. But the issue is fixed. [so far] - no more rt. clicks to a new tab opening up in Bing . It open in Chrome. - thanks for the help !!!!!
