I left the computer last night to go to sleep mode as per usual. However, when I returned to it a few hours later it was as if it had restarted on its own and it presented me with the Welcome screen asking me to set up Office 365, decide my browser settings etc. I cannot explain it unless there are ghosts in the house messing with my computer while I sleep.

Check the user system folder (C:\Users\[username]) - has a new one been created ?

Is there a windows.000 or windows.old folder now on c:\ drive ?

No new user has been created and I don't see either of the two folders in C:\. Interestingly, I have another user on this PC. It's a local administrator account that I don't normally use. I logged into this account, but there was no Welcome screen. So, whatever caused the issue earlier has only affected the account that I use daily which is also an administrator account.
