I've used this app, but I'm not sure how secure it is. Camomile appears to quiet my fan and under-volt my CPU) and seems to be too good to be true. I am running this "free" app on a HP Pavilion all-in-one desktop with Win 11 24H2. Any comments would be appreciated. (BTW, I'm 83, a retired IT type, who has forgotten most of his IT! LOL.)

It's just a handy app that can change power options from High Performance (if already set) to Balanced when turning on Camomile. It'll drop the Utilization of the CPU to about 99% and so keeps the speed in check to keep the CPU cooler at the slight expense of performance.
Do you need it? No I don't think so. I use it just to keep the laptop quite at times when needed.

Thank you for your response. I'll probably reinstall Camomile and continue experimenting with it because my desktop's fan will, from time to time, "race" because my ssd and core #1 tend to run hot when I'm browsing. I'm using a "balanced power" setting. My Pavilion is relatively "new", as it was purchased in 2023. On problem I've noticed with this app in an unwanted popup for Fortect's cleaner app. Camomile probable has a few PUPS buried in its code. I'll keep digging.
