Clean what if it's temporary files, you can use Storage Sense.

I assume you mean old files reg entries etc. CCleaner is a good choice it is not too aggressive so will miss a lot Wise Cleaner will find a lot more as it is a bit more aggressive in the cleaning process. best to do an image first, just in case

Users need to take the time to read what is going to be deleted before clicking on ok. On the rare occasions I do run a Reg cleaner I only choose programs and apps that I know for sure that I uninstalled. I have never run into any problems.

I dislike messing with the registry. If I do, I exercise common sense and create a backup of it first. I like Revo Uninstaller because it removes registry entries.

And it is not an aggressive tool, so unlikely to cause any problems, You should always know what you are deleting/cleaning and as I always say make an image first. A lot of the so called experts now adays are against registry cleaning

Making an image before making any changes is always a good idea.
So right, I know a lot of people do a full clean-up and sort out then do the image thinking they have an image of a good working machine, then find out they haven't when something doesn't work that is why I always do mine first

One of the best utilities, I've found, is Kerish Doctor...,
mind you, not free but, there's a 15 day trial period.

I snagged a free license from ShareWare a while ago. 🤔

Registry cleaners are extremely powerful applications, and their potential for harming your OS far outweighs any small potential for improving your computer's performance.

There are a number of them available, and some are more safe than others. Keep in mind that no two registry cleaners work entirely the same way. Each vendor uses different criteria as to what constitutes a "bad" entry. One cleaner may find entries on your system that will not cause a problem when removed, another may not find the same entries, and still another may want to remove entries required for a program to work. Without research into what the registry entry selected for deletion is, a registry cleaner can end up being an automated method to cause problems with the registry.

For routine use by those not familiar with the registry, the benefits to your computer are negligible, while the potential risks are great.

Any good free cleaning apps for windows 11 ?

thanks
Well the debate will rage on. Do you use SSDs or HDDs? if you use SSDs your have so many read writes and deletions you can do before its fried..lol. So I used to use CCleaner and many others and tried many but they can mess your PC up if you dont know what your doing so be careful. I no longer use any deletion software and just go into the recycle bin and delete if i really want to but Windows recycle bin will delete whats in it like once a week or idk something like that. I think you can also change when it will delete files in settings somewhere. Cleaning files on Windows is a very deep thing. I mean do you want to make sure your registry is cleaned up also or what other items are you looking to keep clean?

One of the best utilities, I've found, is Kerish Doctor...,
mind you, not free but, there's a 15 day trial period.

I snagged a free license from ShareWare a while ago. 🤔
downloading I WILL TRY IT OUT (y)
