Any takers on why I dont have the option to show teams on my taskbar?

So i believe at some point after installing windows11 i removed teams. I have already put it back but the option here

to add it to my taskbar is nowhere to be found.

Anyone know how to get it back to the way it was/is upon a native 11 install so i can toggle the chat button on and off from this menu?

Since it's now just the Microsoft Teams (Free) app, that setting is no longer available since you can use the usual "Pin to taskbar" option for the app.

weiiiird considering I just (as in a few hours ago) installed a brand new fully updated 23H2 VM and it was right there on the taskbar, and when i looked in personalization > taskbar the setting to toggle it is present as well.

perhaps its due to it being set up as a local account and not an ms account or something.
