Solved Anyone Else Having Store Issues?

Is anyone else having issues with the MS Store? When I do a search it brings the items up but when I go into them to install them the screen stays like my screenshot below. Then the store freezes and have to force close it. Would there be a fix around for this or is it just me or have to wait until the next release maybe?

I'm in the store right now, no issues here.

The issue turned out to be a cache issue. Once cache was cleared and PC restarted store returned to normal.

Mine has done the same with those two apps. Never had them installed and never intend to. Probably just a little store bug,

I did a Microsoft Store Repair and Reset.

And very little changed. Do you notice the subtle difference? :lmao:

Nope - that's the strange thing - I can't remember going to the Store for Win10 - I have lots of keys - never needed a key from the Store.

It could just be a way to record the key in use using the store infrastructure

The twitter and Candy crush I believe are "sponsored" with microsoft by their developers so get added without the user agreement, the same as genuine Microsoft apps

Jokes aside, I went to the Store and searched for Windows - and the banner shows Windows 10 Pro for Workstations.....

Did you install PfW?

May have been an 'oops' moment on the store's part then as it re-populated it database?

Not sure if the Store just doesn't like me or if it's a Preview issue - SMACC was published yesterday but I can't install it... says I should contact the app publisher (which I duly did, but he's clueless... LOL)

I can install it today, but it's not entirely intuitive. First the Store says 'You might need to take action in another window', then a UAC prompt appears, minimised to the Taskbar, along with an icon for the .msi installer (which is hiding behind the store). Nothing can progress until I click the UAC icon and give the .msi permission to run.

It's a bit of a run-around, but it installs in the end.

Something I noticed with the Store Preview is that it does not have the "You own this app" thingy. It re-installs the Desktop app. if you previously installed it.

I think I'm going to release a Setup.exe (as opposed to .msi) next and see how that behaves...
