Anyone Still Getting the News Popup?

I have widgets turned off in my Personalization> Taskbar settings, but I'm noticing I'm still getting the occasional "headline" pop up in the bottom right hand corner (which is annoying). Is this some kind of glitch? Shouldn't that have been disabled as well with the widget turned off?

I’ve not ever personally seen news pop up in the “right” corner of my PC, widgets on or off. Are you sure it’s not a preview of an incoming email?

I always uninstall the news app (I cannot recall the exact name of the app at the moment), and I also go to notification settings and turn off all but what I consider necessary notifications.

    The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.
