This tutorial will show you how to organize your favorites in alphabetical order in Microsoft Edge for your account in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
You can keep track of the websites you visit frequently by adding them as favorites in Microsoft Edge. You can organize these favorites into folders how you like.
You can use Sort by name to arrange favorites inside a selected folder in alphabetical order.

If you are signed in to Microsoft Edge with your Microsoft account and sort by name your favorites, then favorites will automatically sync and also get sorted by name on all devices you sign in to Microsoft Edge with the same Microsoft account with sync favorites turned on.
Here's How:
1 Open Microsoft Edge.
2 Open the edge://favorites/ page in Microsoft Edge.
3 Perform an action below to arrange favorites in a folder alphabetically: (see screenshots below)
- In the left Favorites pane, right click on a folder you want to "sort by name" its content in the right pane, and click/tap on Sort by name.
- In the left Favorites pane, click/tap on the folder you want to "sort by name" its content in the right pane, right click on an empty area in the right pane, and click/tap on Sort by name.
- In the left Favorites pane, click/tap on the folder you want to "sort by name" its content in the right pane, click/tap on the More options (3 dots) button on the toolbar on the right side, and click/tap on Sort by name.
This will only "sort by name" the folders and favorites inside the selected (open) folder (ex: "Favorites bar") seen in the right pane. Favorites in subfolders will not get sorted by name.
4 The favorites will now be arranged in alphabetical order. You can click/tap on the Undo button while available to undo this "Sort by name" action if wanted. (see screenshot below)
"Sort by name" will arrange folders in alphabetical order on top above favorites (links), and separately arrange favorites (links) in alphabetical order below folders.
That's it,
Shawn Brink
