Audio bugs after updating to 22H2

Audio problems are a real headache for me after updating to 22H2. HDMI audio has a mind of its own. I often end up with no sound after waking up the display and find the HDMI audio not appearing in the sound settings or simply no sound coming through.

The other really annoying problem is Bluetooth audio when absolute volume is disabled. The sound stops working after a few connects and the only way to get it back is to re-enable absolute volume. This leaves me no choice but to have absolute volume enabled and it's not a feature I really like.

Is anyone else having any of these audio problems?

Windows Update says there's no updates available and I have checked for driver updates. The graphics hardware is integrated Intel UHD Graphics. So it looks like I will be hunting for driver updates online.

You will need to update the driver from either device manufacturer or your computer manufacturer website.

You might try running the audio playback troubleshooter. Press the windows and "R" keys simultaneously, then type or paste "msdt /id AudioPlaybackDiagnostic" into the "Open" box and click "OK".

Tried the troubleshooter but says it couldn't identify the problem. I will try a clean reinstall and see if that fixes things.

In my past experience of windows audio issues for me, I found that a easy workaround is to use a third party audio app like FXsound. Once I installed it and restarted my pc and making sure to enable in its settings to start with windows my audio worked perfect and its a EQ Booster as well and my audio was so much better. Why or how you may say. Simply because a third party app has its own audio drivers which in many cases work where windows drivers or other do not.
Note: You can keep updating windows and checking via turning OFF the EQ app to see if windows audio issus have been fiixed for you and hey if not turn the app back on. Easy Peasy
