I use SoundBlaster Audigy FX configured as 5.1 surround sound running the latest driver. Randomly during any gameplay, the sound will go quiet for a msec then come back reversed. However, if I alt/tab to the desktop, select the SoundBlaster taskbar app and select the speaker config, I can test the individual speakers (see attached) and the sound comes out of the correct speaker. However, the sound is still reversed in the game until I actually reboot the PC. Even if I quit the game and start a different one, the sound's reversed in that one too. Only after a reboot will the sound come back normal.
