Solved AWCC.EXE is suspended on startup

My Alienware Control Centre no longer works after start up until I click on it's icon since installing 22H2, whereas it used to run in the background (I think). If I go to task manager under the details tab it shows suspended, until I click it's icon, then it shows running and everything works normally whereas it used to be running and ready to go, anyone know a fix for this. Thanks ..... Rod

Mine auto loads fine except when I open the AWCC main window I get the warning of no CPU overclocking functions or display available due to Core Isolation Memory Integrity and Virtual Machine Platform being turned on.

I don't have a fix for this particular issue but I've had an R11 since 2020-07 and from the very beginning I've had trouble getting AWWC to run without loading performance monitor with program failures on every start. After trying every fix I could find I ended up just much removing it. If anyone knows how to fix AWWC so that it will run without errors I love to know.

As far as I know as it did an update for it, the other day. AS I have a few hacks and tweaks I wonder if it is a registry entry that has been changed

I have that, I believe that is because of hyper-v

Hyper-V will cause it also, all three have to be disabled to see the CPU displays.

Yes, I still think my AWCC is a registry problem, but just guessing

Have you tired doing a full Revo uninstall and then a reinstall of the latest version from Dell Support site?

Thanks Franco, I was trying to avoid that as I have many schemes and a lot of personalised keys I cannot afford to loose

Ah, yeah I know the feeling, especially if you have to reset up your macro key functions.

Yes that is the word I was looking for, as it is not an easy process I found. I think I have cured it, See next post and Thanks for your help.

I think I have cured it, I will not mark it as solved until I have really checked it out.
It was ( I hope :ROFLMAO:

) Setting>Apps>InstalledApps>Alienware Command Centre and click on the 3 dots. Advanced Options> Let thisapp run in the background, I changed it to "Always"

Thanks for your help, I will report back tomorrow and let you know if it is sorted :crossed

Sadly after the second restart, it is not working again I even tried the repair option

Here is the latest. I reloaded an image from before 22h2 and all worked fine, reinstalled 22h2 and the error is back.
I also get the notification from awcc saying overclocking is turned off, even though I never use it
I wonder if this problem is connected to 22H2, the awcc update or fail safe. any clues would be gratefully recieved

Yet again I think I have fixed it.
In task manager the awcc.exe was suspended in details, in processes I got this error when I clicked on the 2 yellow bars next to it.
This UWP process group is suspending processes to improve system performance.
I right clicked on properties and ran the compatibility checker and it made changes and so far all seems ok. so I will not mark it solved yet

The overclocking off notification is due to using Core Isolation Memory Integrity, Virtual Machine Platform, or Hyper V as the overclocking CPU readings in the Fusion section aren't compatible in the latest AWCC with those component's. If you click the Fusion tab it'll notify you also. The AWCC not running in the background is a separate issue and seems to be connected to your 22h2. Are you using 22621.521 or 525 by chance?

my version is 22621.608.
I understand about the over clocking etc, it was the fail safe notification that concerned me. anyway I am pretty certain it is the "This UWP process group is suspending processes to improve system performance" which is giving me the problem

I also has this problem.
I use total uninstall to total remove AWCC, then reintall it.
It can start on Windows OS startup for few days, then It won't start on Windows OS startup.
I opened the task manager, it shows AWCC.exe suspended.

I hope everyone has fixed their problem with AWCC, however I strongly recommend to try AlienFX Tools from Github and getting rid of that piece of garbage :)
