I had been using Norton all of my life.
About a year ago I got pissed at all the notifications from Norton on my computers, you need to buy THIS. You need to buy THAT. VPN, etc.
I though, if I am paying for this software then why am I being bombarded with ads?
I uninstalled Norton from all of my PC's and installed Bitdefender. My router is Netgear and it seems like Netgear and bitdefender are in bed together so I did it. I installed Bitdefender on my computers.
Now with the latest update, Bitdefender installs Safepay and there is no way to turn it off or un install it. I am being bombarded by pop up notifications again, but now its worse. Use Safepay for this page? It is endless, even for the pages that I have already been on and told it NO. I thought, OK I'll tell it no, then it should be ok right? NO.
I have to tell it NO a hundred times every day.
I uninstalled bitdefender from 2 of my computers and installed Malwarebytes, the free edition. And I am using Windows defender. So I'm good, right?
So far so good on these two computers.
Is this right? Is there any way to turn off Safepay? What am I missing? Why would they do that? Make me uninstall their product. I don't get it.

In the settings, you can disable notifications from Safepay by going to the left-hand side, Privacy/Safepay settings/Settings and disable them all.
(Quote from Bitdefender site)

Open your Bitdefender program and go to:

1. Settings ->Privacy -> Safepay -> Settings and disable "Safepay notifications" and "Automatically open Bitdefender Safepay"

Searched for this thread to find this, but I'm finding when I restart my computer things I turned off are being turned back on: SafePay notifications, antispam, etc. What's really annoying is the red "!" because I don't want Bitdefender examining every single website I visit. Who knows what privacy issues that creates.

Bitdefender used to be a decent product, but it is absolutely adware now and is predatory upon its users. I am about to uninstall it. I have already canceled my subscription autorenewal. What an absolute waste of money. Should've just stuck with the built-in Microsoft Defender.
