I have been given the opportunity of purchasing a new Windows 11 computer that will need a lot of updates.
On all my Windows 10 machines I have always had bitlocker disabled but understand that an update to Windows 11 will automatically enable it on Windows 11 devices.
At what stage does the computer say for the first time what the bitlocker key is ?
I can vaguely remember seeing a youtube video sometime ago that showed options on the screen to save it to a Microsoft Account or locally in notepad and I believe there was another option as well.
I have no use for bitlocker and would be interested in knowing how I can be 100% confident in getting the number and then disabling bitlocker.
Thank you.
