Solved BSOD in Virtual Machine

Starting in August, I'm getting BSOD randomly with different error codes in my Virtual Machine while running in 24/7, I used BlueScreenView to figure out why my VM rebooted too often. I clean installed Win11 and updated to latest version but it is still happening. I'm assuming the QEMU drivers are faulty on Win11. Can you guys check logs to confirm that?

Virtual Machine is running on software called VirtualizationStation 3 on my QNAP TS-364, upgraded RAM to 16 GB. The NAS is 2 months old, it's running fine without issues. See specs TS-364 | Hardware Specs

I haven't tried Win10 in VM yet. Linux mint and Ubuntu in VM ran fine without any issues.

VM Config:
CPU Model: Passthrough
Cores: 4
HDD 1: 150 GB
HDD 2: 250 GB
Enable CPU Hot Add: Off
Memory: 6 GB
Video: QXL
Enable audio: On
Enable USB 3.0: On
Enable Virtio-serial: On
Enable TPM 2.0: On

Windows Build/Version
Windows 11 22000.856

One of the share link was in a foreign language and could not be scanned,

Please modify the default language to English so that log files can be scanned and read.

Yeah, I forgot to change language after clean install. I have to remind you this is same VM, not 2 VMs

Tuneup log and log collector in attachment. I don't feel like the need to upload on 3rd party drive hosters, as long as attachment is working

I'm not sure if you meant to run Memtest86 on host or on VM. On host, I don't know if it's possible to access BIOS since HDMI output is disabled on initial boot. QNAP NAS are not same as ordinary computers tho. I tried ways to convert img to iso in order to boot in VM but I have no luck converting.

The host and VM each displayed BSOD dump files.

They were similar but not identical.

Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste on each host and VM:

PowerShell $D=(New-Object -ComObject Wscript.Shell).SpecialFolders(4);Compress-Archive "%WinDir%\MEMORY.DMP" "$D\Memory_dmp"

Post separate share links into this thread with only the compressed memory dump.

Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

msdt.exe -id WindowsUpdateDiagnostic
msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic

Click view detailed information > post share links into this thread

Memtest86 can run overnight.
When possible post results for two tests of four passes each.

@zbook I think you are misunderstanding

Host is my NAS, it is not running Windows, it is running QTS, an exclusive OS especially for QNAP NAS based on Linux. I'm running Windows 11 inside a software called Virtualization Station 3. My NAS is x86 based and it has a BIOS like on ordinary PC but I have no way accessing BIOS unless HDMI output is enabled on boot, I'll figure out this later but I really need to use my NAS in 24/7. I don't have a laptop that support DDR4 RAM to test on. And how I am supposed to boot memtest86 in VM? I tried ways to convert img to iso in order to boot in VM but I have no luck converting, not even PowerISO can since the ISO option is removed. Do you know a good way to convert img to iso? Kindly explain if you know

I really doubt memtest86 is really necessary since my ram is 2 months old. I never experienced crash on my NAS, ever.

DESKTOP-OS693L5 is my old system name, DESKTOP-FF9HP8T is my new system name after clean installing on same VM. It's not 2 VMs, Host and guest or whatever. However, I did changed ram to 6 GB before I clean install, therefore you see the slight difference. I have the evidence that I'm using QTS

Dump file can be downloaded here: Memory_dmp.zip - AnonFiles

Ran the troubleshooters, problems detected and things fixed. Let's see if it helps or not

For dump files please use of these share links:

google drive

Please make sure that share links are posted for all tests/commands performed/ran with their respective results.

Check to see whether the RAM modules are or are not on the Qualified Vendor List (QVL).

For privacy reason, I don't want to use popular file hosting requiring account, they are making name and email publicly

Qualified Vendor List (QVL) or whatever, I don't care as long as the host NAS is working fine, no random crash/reboot or anything. My issue is the software related in a VM

Disabling "Memory sharing" and "Virtio-serial" in VM settings actually solved the issue, I think Memory sharing mainly caused issues. I have not got BSOD for 2 days
