OS
Windows 11
I am getting BSOD only when I am playing certain games. The two ive noticed are FIFA 23 and Battlefield 5. I have played RDR2, Facry, GTA and have had no issues.

My CPU and GPU temps are 70-80cs when playing these games.

I have freshly installed Windows twice now.
Checked RAM and passed 11 tests overnight with memtest86
I've run sfc scans
I've tested my hard drive with the built-in windows hard drive checker
I have tried updating all my drivers
I have no overclocking

Those temps are about the same in RDR2 and I play for hours with no issues. With Fifa/Battlefield I BSOD in 20mins

PC Specs: i9-10850K
MasterLiquid Lite 120mm (I think it may be an overheating problem)
1TB WD Blue SN550 Series
16GB (8GBx2) DDR4/3200MHz
Asus Z590 ATX
Windows 11
Monitor is LG 27GL83A-B
Build is exactly 2 years old

V2 Collector: YNOTFFXI-(2023-03-24_19-43-54).rar

Not sure what to do anymore. Again it is only happening on games on the EA Platform it seems like Fifa23 / Battlefield. I've played GTA, RDR2, CS, Valorant, FF14, and Assassin's creed and had no issues for 2hrs, but within 30 minutes I BSOD in those two.

Hello @roorffxi welcome to ElevenForum. :-)

As you have probably realized yourself... the problem must be with the EA platform.
Please be patient, someone will come to analyze your V2 logs.

Driver verify was runnign when I did the collector. Forgot to turn it off, it is off now and had no crashes. None of the BSOD occured with it on. All these were only when playing Fifa23. Another person suggest i do a tuneup also:

Often software stress tests display pass when there is underlying malfunctioning hardware.
There are cases though when malfunctioning hardware is detected.
OCCT has multiple one hour tests.
Please run each.
Make sure share links are posted for each test result.

I will try to run those today my day is a little busy. I guess my biggest confusion wouldn't my PC bsod or crash when playing other intense graphics games like rdr2? My PC seems to be running at more capacity when Im playing rdr2 and never crash. Only have so far when I'm playing fifa 23 or battlefield. That is what is confusing me because if it was hardware I would think most new games would crash it also not just two.

I ran the CPU test and didnt see anywhere to export.

All i got was text that had

00:00:00 - Info - Test schedule started at 2023-03-26 11:47:37
00:00:00 - Info - CPU - Started (Duration : 01:00:00)
01:00:00 - Info - CPU - Stopped
01:00:00 - Info - Test schedule completed

Was going to do more, but i assume i need to be able to export actual data and im not saying it anywhere. After it stopped just had a go-back error not save icon.

Most errors point out - to software issues or faulty drivers.

Download - the latest nVidia Driver for your GPU - but Studio version, as in:

Don't install them yet. Also Download DDU...

...and NVCleanstall: TechPowerUp

Next press Win Key + R and type msconfig - click on the Boot tab and check Safe Bot - then restart in Safe Mode. Unplug or Disable your NW cable or Wi-Fi. While in Safe Mode - run msconfig again - go to the same tab and uncheck Safe Bot - "but do not restart"

Next, run DDU - select nVidia GPU and clean/remove all nVidia content - while selecting to restart after completion. After booting into Windows - start NVCleanstall and select the downloaded driver - then make a clean package for install by selecting only the recommended options - as in:

Reboot and try the games in question again.

I did try ddu once but I'll try your method again. Also, do I never connect my wifi until I do it all? I know windows will try to update manually otherwise

You can connect it after you've done all the steps from above - after you reinstalled the driver with NVCleanstall and did a reboot/restart. Optionally, you could Disable Window's feature for auto-find/install the missing drivers. But it's simpler (more convenient) - to disable/unplug the internet - for the time being.

Off shot but try re-installing easy anti cheat, Its probably the main difference between you're ea games and not ea games. Worth a shot atleast

Have tried this multiple times already and tried re-installing Fifa itself.

I did it and no luck. Here is the most recent BSOD with new drivers

To rule out possible conflicts: Windows Key + R type msconfig - go to Services tab - on left corner at the bottom check Hide All Microsoft Services (this detail is very important - or else your OS won't boot). The list should shrink considerably. For the remaining - click on Disable All. Then restart Windows and try those game again.

---

If you still get a BSOD - since the stress tests from above are better for CPU and RAM. You could also try the following:

First, you download GPU-Z for monitoring the temperatures of GPU & Memory/VRAM (Video Ram) - which are displayed in the Sensors tab. Also check "Log To File" from the bottom left side of the Sensors tab.

Next, you download and open memtest_vulkan-v0.5.0.exe If you also have an integrated GPU you'll get 2 option - select the number corresponding to RTX 3070. And let it run - should take around 5 minutes and this will test your VRAM (Video Ram).

If above test ran just fine. Next, download and install Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 Heaven Run it and set the following... API: DX11, Quality: Ultra, Tessellation: Extreme, Stereo 3D & Multi-Mon: Disabled, Anti-Aliasing: 8x Uncheck Full Screen and Select a Resolution lower than the Monitor's native resolution (2560x1440) - like 1920 x 1080. GPU-Z should still be on for monitoring the temps - side by side with Heaven B. Run it for at least 10 minutes and if the test ran just fine - repeat it - but this time in full-screen while selecting the native resolution (2560x1440).

I don't play Fifa 23 - but some of those who do - claim it's poorly optimized (ramping the GPU as if it's a demanding gaming): Re: Fifa 23 poor pc optimization, 100% gpu usage on menu's. Thus, despite of having lower graphics than RDR2 - it can stress your GPU more than the later. While Battlefield 5 - seems to be more demanding.

I do play it, Alot rather, It runs smooth as butter on my end, RDR2 on the other hand..i have more issues running. It certainly got beefier since it moved over to the new engine this year, But its well optimized for sure, Maxed at 4k and my card chills at around 70% due to me only asking for 60fps.

BF5 runs smooth for me too. Maxed 1440p. Again 60 fps for me.

Fifa being demanding 100% is not the issue.
3070 eats my 2070super for breakfast so yeah.

I don't get the point of your post. This topic is about troubleshooting BSOD issues - where the games in question happen to be the trigger point. Those games running without issues on a similar rig (same GPU) - has nothing to do with the topic in question (since it's not about the games and whether they can run or not on a similar rig - but finding the cause for that BSOD). And a game being more demanding - can be a possible cause (by reaching a trigger point - which less demanding games/apps can avoid to trigger).

My point was to explain that a game that isn't demanding on my system, Will be less demanding on a better system no?
It also pretty clearly states on there that i dont believe those two games that just happen to be on EA are more performance hungry than any other games. Just naw.

You seem to think that fifa and BF5 have an insanely high performance pull even more so than red dead 2( Pulls way more than both BF and fifa) which just isn't true. Fifa and battlefield would be my choice of "Less demanding games"
