There are no such files on my system either. They are obviously specific to something running on your system that neither @pseymour nor I have.I don't have any such files on my system. It would help to know where they are located. Best guess I can find with light research is that they're related to Google Drive caching, but that's still just a guess.
Except the title is wrong, it is not a file, but an extension.Google search on .wscache files
According to that they're WebSphere Application Server temporary files.
This worked for finding them. Tons of videos in my Downloads folder. Ty!OP would perhaps be better off using Settings>System>Storage, then selecting "Show More Categories" to see what is taking up disk space. It would be safer and more informative for him.
I installed the WinDirStat program and it didn't seem to tell me much of anything useful (I'm no expert). It seems to me that using it to free up space would be a quick way to break something. WinDirStat got uninstalled.
