Solved can not play videos with MPC-HC

I downloaded klite codec from here: Codec Guide: K-Lite Codec Pack - For Windows 11 / 10 / 8.1 / 7 to use madvr but I have a problem, any mp4 I try to open with MPC-HC it take very long time to open and make win 11 like it is hangup until I close it. It was working fine in Win 10 dont know what is the problem ?

MPC-HC has has no active development since 2017 so it's understandable it may not be compatible with Windows 11. You can right click on it's .exe file and attempt to run it in compatibility mode which may or may not work. Or, you can uninstall both K-Lite and MPC-HC and use VLC media player which is steadily developed as operating systems evolve. It's been my go-to media player for a long time. Use the VLC installer, not the app from the windows store.

K-Lite took over the development of MPC-HC, but this player does not play nicely with default settings, hardware playback is not enabled automatically, it is better to use MPC-BE, there is store version as well.

Yes MPC-BE work fine with madvr on win 11. Also I found this page madVR has supported players for madvr I dont know why I did not think of it before !! Thanks all

MPC-HC with madVR (using K-Lite Codec Pack Full) works flawlessly for me on multiple computers including on Win 11, and is still actively being maintained by clsid2 (and a bunch of other devs), and, DXVA2 hardware accelerated decoding is enabled by default. The amount of misinformation that you have received from this thread astounds me.

As for MPC-BE, you normally don't need it excepting only maybe if your AVR lacks HDMI and you want to send audio. In all other cases, MPC-HC with madVR using K-Lite Codec Pack (Full or Mega) should do the trick so maybe you broke something or else your computer has weird specs, in which case you could report to madshi, like, tell him your PC blows up if you try to use madVR in MPC-HC so that we can all have another good laugh.

Please excuse any misinformation I posted. I only went by what was posted on Home · MPC-HC Their site did not indicate that anyone continued development of their app.

I did that first thing they replay that it is common problem from gpu driver, not mpc-hc problem !!

Try setting the "how many video frames shall be presented in advance" to 1. Also try changing it to 2 or 3 if necessary, but keep in mind that choosing 4 or higher causes the video playback to stutter usually. Another thing that might help is to make sure that the "enable automatic fullscreen exclusive mode" checkbox is unchecked.

Having automatic resolution switching (display mode switching) feature enabled either in madVR or in MPC-HC may also be the culprit or part of the problem. So, if nothing else seems to remedy it and you are using automatic switching, then try disabling that, and either switch manually or use this free utility:
