Today I realized that there seems to be a bug concerning the microphone. No matter if I try to use the Sound Blaster Control Panel or the Windows Settings (System\Sound) I cannot disable the microphone that is connected to my sound card. Even though the microphone symbol in the settings changes from the standard symbol to the crossed out symbol the mic keeps recording (tested using Audacity). Am I the only one who has experienced this behavior or can anybody confirm this bug?

P.S. It seems to be a Sound Blaster issue. My other mic which is a USB mic can be disabled without any issues.

So you clicked this icon to cross it out and the mic is still on? It completely kills the input from my Sound Blaster mic...

Have sound blaster issued a certified Driver for Windows 11, and if so are you using it? There are a lot of "Under The Hood" changes in Windows 11 and sometimes these can slip through the net and cause issues.

If you can check with Creative or the Card supplier for possible solutions or updated drivers, (although Creative are not known for prompt driver updates for new versions of an OS )

Thanks for your reply. It looks like it was only a temporary issue since it suddenly started working again. Guess good old restart fixed it.
