Good day, and thank you for any help you can offer.

I cannot enable the Memory Integrity option in my security settings, as it reports a conflict with rcblan.sys.

I am running Windows 11.

My V2 log is on my Google Drive:

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. That driver is related to a lan device. Do you per chance use a usb lan or have used one in the past?

If you are currently using the device, first try updating it to the latest version from the device manufacturer's website or through Windows Update. If you can not find an updated driver you will either have to replace the device with one that has a verified driver or leave core isolation turned off.

Here's how to delete the driver from the system.
If you currently use the device, you can open device manager, expand network adapters, right click on that adapter, select uninstall. Be sure to check the box to remove the driver. Then unplug the device.

If this is a device you have used in the past but is no longer connected, you can force removal of the driver using Driver Store Explorer (run as admin)

Core Isolation will ban certain older drivers for known security vulnerabilities.
If you can't find a newer version of the driver (it might be unsupported by the vendor as too old), then you have two options:

1. Don't use Core Isolation, because having this device is too important for you.
2. Replace this device with newer HW adapter, because the replacement device may have a driver that isn't banned.

If you no longer use this USB-based network adapter, then uninstall the driver completely from your system.

Thank you for the assistance!

Yes, the driver is very old (2007). I cannot find an updated version online, and when I right-click on it (I have to search the Device Manager for Hidden Items), Update Driver isn't shown as an option on the drop-down menu. With Windows Explorer, I find instances of it in a Logitech remote software folder, which is only occasionally plugged in (via USB).

For this laptop, I generally use wifi, and occasionally the built-in ethernet port. My USB ports are used only for a wireless mouse, an external hard drive, and occasionally a thumb drive, microphone, universal remote, etc.

But if it's to do with LAN, if I understand your replies correctly, it would be safe to delete this driver with the DriverStore Explorer tool. Would this be a correct conclusion?

Thank you again,
Josh

If you run DriverStore Explorer as Administrator, you should be able to remove the driver if it's not actually in use. DriverStore Explorer is smart about that.

I finally ended up creating a Restore Point, removing the driver, restarted, and I was able to turn on Memory Integrity...and then I ran the Logitech software to make sure it still functioned normally with my universal remotes. Everything seems to be working just fine. Thank you for all the help! Consider this case closed!

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.
