I tried to login to my DELL account on their home page and login page..
only to find that the Login button after the is not working on Firefox v151.0.3

uBlock Origin is disabled on the DELL website so that is not it.


I wanted to post this here so if anyone else is having this issue too or is working for them..
maybe we could figure it out together.

It's working for me in Firefox, but then I don't use any extensions. I'm also in the UK rather than the US, if that makes any difference.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

hi @Bree thx for testing from testing from the UK..

It might be one of the extensions I use..
But it was working before last month last time I logged into the the Dell website.


as I use a custom bootstrap loader script done by some one else to load the extension
TabMixPlus as its is not a Web-Extension and it functionality has never been put into Firefox directly to improve Firefox.

lots of errors and warnings in the Firefox web-console.

Try another install of Firefox, one that by default has no extensions. You can do that without removing your current install of FF. You could test with the Portable Apps version. If that works and yours doesn't then you could start comparing their settings to see what differences there may be.

FYI - Same issue here since yesterday. In fact yesterday I couldn't get Edge to work either but today Edge works, FireFox still doesn't. Even uninstalled FireFox, rebooted, reinstalled fresh. No extensions. Same issue. But then I did more research and I actually think it's our offices firewall doing it. I say that because if I use my cell phone on my office wifi I can't login. But if I use Cell service I call.

i.e. try changing your internet and see if it works.

Maybe after the update today it will work. I do not go to Dell's website unless I get an email from them. I can get on every other website with Firefox.🤷‍♂️

Definitely a Dell problem. They have a ton of CSP (content security policy) header blocks. Basically your browser is being instructed not to load a bunch of resources. Most likely some that are needed to complete the login process.

Scratch that, that was from some extensions I use lol

Still they do have some CORS violations, so those could break parts of the page

Just wanted to add that I've been having this issue since last week I think. I had to order a laptop last week and some monitors this week. I use LibreWolf primarily and also have Firefox. I believe last week I had this same issue it seems. I can enter my email and pass phrase if it pops up and that works. But then after I enter my password, the sign in button does nothing. It doesn't load anything like it failed the login. Seems to be something on the client side is blocking it from submitting the request. Last week I tried in LibreWolf first, then Firefox at least. I don't recall if it suddenly worked in one of them and then worked in LibreWolf or if I had to use Edge. But either way it finally worked. I was also able to log in yesterday with LibreWolf for the monitor purchase. But now again today when I wanted to get my tracking numbers, I'm getting the problem again. Haven't been able to get Libre/Fire to work and had to resort to using Edge which did work.

This feels like something in their website that was optimized for chromium and they didn't properly test in mozilla based browsers. But it also seems a bit random as it does sometimes work. I do have some extensions and haven't tried without extensions. I did try clearing cookies from Dell but that didn't change anything. Attached is my console with some errors that were reported.

You only have to do it once, or change it to a passkey.

I just did a password reset. That worked to change the password.... but login still does not with the new password. Again, it never seems to authenticate the password so the password does not seem to be at all related to the issue.
