Winver 21H2
Hi,
With 4 days left of my Covid isolation, I'm doing some PC cleanups that I've been putting off for ages. This includes removing the detritus left after trying to eliminate OneDrive from my system. (I've been using Dropbox for years and don't want to change.) OneDrive is uninstalled, unlinked and definitely unloved! I still have a Microsoft account on the pc because of my 365 subscription.
The worst effect of OneDrive is that it has moved the default save location for sooo much to OneDrive.
When I try to change this via properties>location (either with 'return to default' or 'move', I invariably get 'Can't move the folder because there is a folder in the same location that can't be redirected. Access is denied.'
For example, the Pictures folder is described thus... C:\Users\north\OneDrive\Pictures (moving to) C:\Users\north\Pictures
I have emptied all the relevant folders so can manipulate freely with no concern for data loss.
Can anyone please advise the best way to proceed?
Many thanks.
