I have a Lenovo K450e with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 750. One monitor is connected to the DVI port, the other connects to HDMI.
Win 11 Home, boots to Monitor2 (DVI port).
I can drag the VLC video window to the 2nd screen which is actually Monitor1 but I can't get it to stay there when I reboot.

This is the batch file I use to start VLC.

@echo on
:Start
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC"
vlc --aspect-ratio=16:9 --no-sout-audio --random ShopMovies.xspf
::vlc --fullscreen --aspect-ratio=16:9 --random ShopMovies.xspf
goto Start

This is the VLC preferences:

Any suggestions welcome.

I got it working using the following settings:

2023-11-01 14_38_05-Simple Preferences.jpg

and this batch file:

@echo on
:Start
"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --no-embedded-video --audio --no-repeat --no-loop --no-random --autoscale --fullscreen --no-osd --random "C:\RunVLC\ShopMovies.xspf" --start-time= --stop-time= --video-x=-1920 --video-y=1 --quiet
goto Start

I also rearranged displays so Monitor1 is shown first, it was shown second.

Now when I boot up, the Command Prompt window and the VLC control window show on Monitor2 which is the DVBI connected display and the movie shows on Monitor1 which is HDMI connected, exactly as I wanted it.
