Can't install extensions on Edge - "Download Interrupted" error

Hi all,
Please see screenshot.
This happens with any extension I'm trying to install.
A Google search provided many results such as resetting browser and clearing cache and cookies, to no avail.

Any thoughts?

You can try this to refresh the systems ms apps. Edge is one of them. Try disabling all of your extensions in edge and then install the new extensions again. If this works, then you can turn on each extension one at a time, and download an extension each time you enable an extension. Eventually you should find the extension causing the problem.

I would do this: Install Edge from another channel, such as Beta or Canary.
Let it sync. Then, try to see if you can install the problematic extension first.
If not, your profile is corrupted and you need to reset your current edge installation.
I suspect your issue may lie with an ad blocker or else.
