I recently upgraded my gaming rig from an FX-6300 CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600X with an MSI B550-A Pro motherboard. I kept the Radeon RX 470 graphics card. It still plays my games but is right at the edge with Forza Horizon 5 and Far Cry 6. I decided to bite the bullet and get a new card as a Christmas present to myself. I won't say what I paid for it except to say it's $150 less than what it's going for in most places. The card I am getting Tuesday is the PowerColor Red Devil Radeon RX 6600XT with 8gb DDR6 VRAM. It's a big upgrade.

The card came today, a day early. It installed without a hitch. I didn't even have to do anything with the drivers. It picked up the driver the 470 had been using which is the latest one for both cards. Games play great and the card runs extremely cool. In Forza Horizon 5 it hits a max of 58C while the CPU is at 69. Now, I'm running at 1080p without HDR because my monitor doesn't support it. It's only a 75mhz 24" Acer. I guess a new monitor is next on the upgrade list.
