Finally, I crossed the bridge and updated my Windows 10 to 11. I am certain that there's a tutorial for cleaning up after the upgrade, but I don't seems find it. Can someone post a link for that?

Welcome to ElevenForum. :-)


Run Disk Cleanup (will remove the windows.old folder).

Open a command prompt as admin and run these commands, one at a time.

sfc /scannow

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup


That should do it.

I will at certain point, once the W11 becomes more familiar. That may take awhile...

PS: I've been a member of this forum for four years, with very little activity, just a few post. With the same UID, I am a member of the Windows 10 forum since 2014. Work, family, hobbies got in the way and both of the accounts had been dormant for a good while. Correction, the family didn't really get in the way, having grand kids is the best thing...:love:(y)

Hi there. There is a cleanup thread. Within it you’ll find various scripts for an after upgrade clean up. The first post has an attachment being the basis of the thread, there are others within.
