C'mon Ms get your app (link to Windows from phone) to stop telling lies !!!

The app is working properly - phone connected etc - but the left hand pane says "Can't connect try again ". Who actually TESTS these things before letting them out of the door -- The app is essentially very good and convenient if you are sitting at a computer - why ruin it by displaying incorrect information to the user

I read quite a nice article in the London Times yesterday where one of its journalists was writing about some modern high priced eateries where some of the stuff in his opinion tasted like Mouse !! -- I replied on its online Forum in my usual cynical self (TOL --Times Online) by asking a question to the journo what does Mouse taste like - or have you really tried it -- there was a reply from another TOL subscriber quoting A.I which gave the definition of MOUSSE , not MOUSE thinking it was a bog standard spelling mistake -- totally ignoring the contextual point of the piece where the journo (who later confirmed by saying "like Vole") definitely was talking about an animal and not a "fluffy" piece of menu.

This is where A.I currently breaks down -- great for routine or predictable logic situations - but hopeless in reading and understanding the contextual stuff !!!. - I still like A.I but USE IT CAREFULLY !!!!. Decently correct contextual interpretation by A.I is still quite a long way off.

My own observation has yielded me a different view. Even for a boomer I tend to be old fashioned among my peers. Given the various categories granted to AI, open AI, AGI, Chat GPT, etc. I can't say that I'm opposed to all forms of AI. That aside I am of the persuasion that advanced forms of AI do more harm than good for society in general. Educators despair as students continue to get their grades as a result of AI exploitation and as if this isn't enough these educators also reciprocate using AI to grade papers. Automation of industry is wonderful if the profits thereby generated are consequently donated to the benefit of those who have had their jobs replaced by AI but we all know that ain't gonna happen. As I stated in sundry posts the future looks grim. What I've been observing is tantamount to a Three Body Problem scenario wherein the End of Science threatens to become a reality. If the world proves me wrong I can only rejoice, but so far I don't like the direction AI is taking in the slightest.
