What’s the router brand and model?

You could possibly find a cheap WiFi adapter and see if that connects. This would tell you if you have a faulty network issue.

Before that:
  • Search and select "Device Manager".
  • Expand "Network adapters"
  • Verify if the wireless card appears listed.
  • Check if there's an exclamation point, red "X" or down arrow next to its name.

  • Download the latest driver from Gigabyte.
    • Expand the “LAN” section — download and install the following:
      • Realtek LAN Driver OS: Windows 11 64bit [11.20.0729.2024] 5.06 MB Sep 04, 2024

If your wi-fi disconnects at times, you should have the setting "Automatically connect" on. Secondly, turn off the power saving feature on your wi-fi adapter, if it has that setting.

Hope this helps.

Try setting up a static IP and DNS, that solved my issues. When PC looses the signal, it waits for DHCP to retrieve the new IP, if you use a static IP, PC should simply reconnect using saved credentials. At worst you might need to restart PC to recover.
Another option is to disable IPv6, since it brings the whole bunch of problems, especially on WiFi.
I have had this pc for 2 years and I am only recently facing this issue
Most new devices have 5GHz, it might have gotten too crowded there, try switching to 2.4GHz.

Good job. In the section Other Information, place your router brand and model, or add it to the connection section.
If you’re unsure of the router brand and model, hopefully it will be under the router.

Any other way to check it ? Because my parents bought it and never told me the model and they don’t really know I checked under the router and it doesn’t say anything

First thing I would do is restart the router.

  • Turn it off and dissconnect it from the wall.
  • Wait for between 30 seconds and 1 minute and plug it back in and turn it on again
  • This is not a factory reset, it’s a hard restart and nothing will change
  • Be patient for the router to call home and reconnect with Virgin.

Firmware updates are pushed to the router when they become available so I doubt there is an update for it.

If this doesn’t help, perhaps considering a factory reset and re-setup of the router might be an option.

Be very certain you’re confident before doing this. It isn’t hard but not being confident is always a problem.
Who setup the Router in the first place?

  • To trigger a factory reset of the Hub 3 press the RESET button for 60 seconds, then leave the Hub 3 powered on.
    • You may need a paper clip opened up to press in the reset button.
  • Once the factory reset completes ( it takes some time ) the Hub 3 should revert to using the Wi-Fi Password and the numeric Hub Password printed on the bottom side sticker.
  • If there is no sticker, do not proceed. Call Virgin Media and ask for support, explain your problem.

If the factory reset is needed, here is a video for re-setting up your Virgin connection after a factory reset..

But what I’m confused about is how it diss connected me from my WiFi and when I reconnect says no internet , secured so matter if it’s Ethernet or WiFi adapter
