Solved Control Volume with Scroll Wheel while hovering over Taskbar

With 7+ Taskbar Tweaker program, you could control the volume with your mouse wheel while hovering your mouse on the taskbar area. Unfortunately, 7+ Taskbar Tweaker doesn't work in Windows 11 yet. So, is there an alternative program or hack I could do now to get the same feature?

Hover over the speaker icon & scroll away, no hack necessary.

Volume² is what we use for that.
It's one of the first applications that I install on a new system.

I have to click on the speaker icon and then hover over the volume bar in the easy access panel that comes up to scroll the volume

It's a pain to have to precisely hover over that little speaker icon every time.

This works great. Lots of options. Is it a free program? Mine says free version. Is it a trial?

It's free. I've been using it for years.
Lots of different settings and views. You can change the look of it all.

You can even have an on screen display as you scroll the taskbar to change the volume which you can change the appearance of.
You also get a volume level indicator in the tray which you can also change the appearance of.
If you right click the volume level indicator, you get quick access to various sound settings.

Just a note, I believe the listed Version number of Windows Build/Version 22H2 (22581.1) is part of the Insider Preview program and a number of things such as third-party add-ins may not always work as desired.

I'm on the Beta channel. It's pretty stable for the most part. You just get features earlier. What's not to like about that.
