Hi,

I don't get this when I play a game (Diablo 4 at the moment) My CPU temperature is 80C+ and yet my GPU is only 65C, should these be the other way around as don't games use the GPU the most?

@Mister.T

That would be true if we don't account for the cooling on the CPU or GPU.
You have a CPU with 105W TDP.
And I'd be willing to bet that your GPU has better or more cooling.
Or a better GPU fan curve.

You should be able to adjust the fan curve for the CPU, in the BIOS or in the Corsair software.
That may get your CPU and GPU temps more in sync, so to speak.

I have my CPU fan(s) set to 100% (air cooling), and my GPU fan curve to keep the GPU about the same temp.

Image1.png

Keep in mind that some software will be more CPU intensive.
A program like Cinebench for example, will crank up the CPU temp, but give the GPU the day off.

Apparently, Diablo 4 is GPU intensive, so I would look into the fan curves you have set.

What should they be set to as there both set to quite, in the bios and icue software?

Unfortunately, the Corsair all in one coolers, need to run the fans at a high speed to keep the temp of a 105W CPU down to earth. They will be noisy. :(

For quiet CPU cooling, you might have been better off with something like a Noctua NH-D15

At 100% those Corsair fans are gonna be at 37dBA (120mm)
At 100% the Noctua fans are 24.6 dBA (140mm)
140mm fans run quieter at the same cubic feet per minute (cfm).
It might have been better to have gotten a 280mm radiator than a 360mm (quiet wise).
Unfortunately your case won't hold a 420mm radiator. :(

Also... don't forget... it may be the thermal compound on the CPU that's not performing as it should.

The Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is supposed to be one of the top thermal compounds.

Last but not least is how you have the air flow set up in your case.

With all that Cadillac hardware, you're probably overclocking?
That will raise your CPU temps also.
Nice build, btw, :-)

You'll probably just have to play around with your CPU fan curves.
Go for the low temps first, then worry about the noise.

For example, my 10700k runs pretty hot as far as cpus go, My gpu at max also overclocked only reaches high 60's maybe low 70's at most on a hot day, Cpu on the other hand under proper load runs between 65 and 85 depending. Also note its running at 5.2 oc.

Good idea !! Heard Corsair pre-applied paste ain't the best. Even being liquid cooled should be better. Like Shamrock i also have10700K get good cooling with Noctua cooler as mentioned by Ghot. Listed in specs

You know what's a good question, besides Corsair cooler fans what others are in the case as this will help with temps ?

I seem to have problems since I replaced my keyboard, mouse, and headset with Corsair and installed the iCUE. CPU temp 72C without a game running...

With Edge, AIDA and other apps in task bar, not idle no.
I also use AIDA64 mine is at 31c talking to you here now. So yours is quite hot, but not too familiar with AMD temps

I seem to have problems since I replaced my keyboard, mouse, and headset with Corsair and installed the iCUE, to which wont uninstall. CPU temp 72C without a game running...

72C at idle is a problem. Might want to speed up the radiator fans and redo the thermal compound.

I mean just look at these awesome temps I have in this very demanding game. :D

I will contact scan, as I got the CPU and cooler off them pre-installed. As I'm not sure if its from the new keyboard, mouse and headset (iCUE software) or just the compound/fans as stopped cooling properly?

May need to reevaluate your airflow (air direction) in case and organization of fans and other hardware in the case, be cause of heat not disapating well.

The AMD Ryzen x5950s are designed to run up to 90 degrees celsius.

On my PC with a i9 13900k and RX 7900 XTX when running stress tests etc. the GPU typically would not run at a higher temperature than the CPU.
My GPU very rarely goes above 70 degrees unless it is heavily overclocked.
