Earlier today I got another weird email (see the CCleaner MOVEit thread on the antivirus forum). This one was from Amazon recalling a set of 2032 batteries which I ordered a month or three back.
This was the message:
An important message regarding your order xxx-xxxxxxx
The French alert system for dangerous products (Rappel Conso) has published a recall notification about the below product that you have bought on Amazon.co.uk due to the following risk: ingestion.
Product:
Duracell Specialty 2032 Lithium Coin Battery 3V, pack of 4, with Baby Secure Technology and suitable for keyfobs, scales, wearables and medical devices (DL2032/CR2032)
As you do, I took a look on the web to see if anyone had any information about the recall: were they going to blow up, or what? I found this thread, which I thought was hilarious and might cheer you up: 2032 Battery recall
