Ventoy can be use for writing image files such as .iso, .wim, .img, .vhd(x), and .efi files onto storage media to create bootable USB flash drives. Once Ventoy is installed onto a USB drive, there is no need to reformat the disk to update it with new installation files; it is enough to copy the .iso, .wim, .img, .img, or .efi file(s) to the USB drive and boot from them directly.

The last time I checked, there were a couple of engines in VirusTotal that flagged it. So I didn't go ahead with it.

I find creating an external USB drive with vhdx physical files for all sorts of windows systems including Macrium recovery, W2K22 server and winpe, another partition or so for Linux, gparted etc then that's fine for me. That covers about every eventuallity for Windows installs and any type of system repair.

I can't see what's wrong in simply using dism /Apply-Image to install windows systems from an iso image - winpe does it quickly, and easily.

I'm using a 1TB external SSD for this and it works perfectly. No need for Rufus or whatever any more. Ventoy never worked properly for me anyway.

Cheers

It's a simple utility that makes the multiboot easy, that is why i like it.
