Network and Internet Customize DLNA Media Streaming Settings in Windows 10 and Windows 11

This tutorial will show you how to customize DLNA media streaming settings for your account in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

DLNA media streaming allows you to share media from your account's personal Music, Pictures, PlayLists, and Videos folders to other users (same computer), computers, and DLNA supported devices on your network. It also allows you to receive media from other computers and DLNA supported devices.

If you turned on DLNA media streaming, you can choose what is streamed by default to all or specific computers and devices on your network.

The default media streaming settings are used by all devices by default unless you customize them for a specific device using Option Two.

1 Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click/tap on the Network and Sharing Center icon.

2 Click/tap on the Media streaming options link on the left side of Network and Sharing Center. (see screenshot below)


3 Click/tap on the Choose default settings link at the top. (see screenshot below)


3 Select the media streaming settings you want used by default, and click/tap on OK. (see screenshots below)


4 Click/tap on OK when finished. (see screenshot below)


5 You can now close the Network and Sharing Center if you like.





1 Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click/tap on the Network and Sharing Center icon.

2 Click/tap on the Media streaming options link on the left side of Network and Sharing Center. (see screenshot below)


3 Select the device (ex: "[TV] Samsung Q70 Series (82)") you want, and click/tap on Customize. (see screenshot below)


4 Select the media streaming settings you want used by this specific device (ex: "[TV] Samsung Q70 Series (82)"), and click/tap on OK. (see screenshots below)


5 Click/tap on OK when finished. (see screenshot below)


6 You can now close the Network and Sharing Center if you like.
