As described in title, I thought I was tidying up my BCD using EasyBCD by deleting boot files for OSs I had previously deleted. Evidently that was not the case.

When I try to boot, I get this error.

0xc00000e

I feel hopeless at fixing this issue so any help would be deeply appreciated.

I have a ESP partition on my OS disk but after assigning a letter to it and trying to copy the boot files from the c:/ I was told there was a failure when copying the boot files.

It's worth mentioning that my c: is bit locker protected and I don't know if it needs to be unlocked before the boot files can be copied.

If so I don't know how to unlock it using the cmd window.

What information do you need and how can I provide it to you so that you can help me fix this?

I hope I won't need a clean reboot 😬😬😬

I fixed it. I had to create a boot able windows USB drive and then unlock my bit locker drive using the Microsoft recovery key. After that, startup repair auto fixed the problem.

As you just found out, when deleting the BCD for OS's that were removed, one has to be very careful of what they delete. I'm very glad to hear that you were able to to fix your problem.

I used EasyBCD before and at one time got the same error "0xc00000e" but mine was caused from boot order in bios got switch around some how.
