Running Windows 11 version 22000.593 but I'm sure the problem has existed with other older versions. I am using a Samsung UHD monitor set to the default 3840X2160 setting scaled to the recommended 150%. All is well except when "Auto Arrange" is turned on the Icons get rearranged every time I reboot. This does not happen on systems with "Normal Standard" monitors set to 1920X1080 or even older monitors running @ 1680X1050. When "Auto Arrange" is turned off on the system with the UHD monitor and the system is rebooted Icons are scattered in some new arrangement! Is there any way to make Windows treat the desktop Icons on the UHD monitor like it does on Standard Monitors? I don't want to turn off Scaling for obvious reasons like eye preservation etc.
