General Turn On or Off Display Full Path in Title Bar of File Explorer in Windows 11

This tutorial will show you how to display the full path in the title bar of File Explorer for your account in Windows 11.

File Explorer shows only the name of the currently open folder or drive in the title bar by default.

In the new File Explorer with tabs, the folder name or full path will now display on the tab. Displaying the full path on the tab becomes troublesome when the path is longer than the tab can show, but you can hover the pointer on the tab to see the full path as a pop-up.

1. Sample regfile actually turns off the setting not on
2. the stupid tab on explorer doesnt have space for more than a few folders so whilst its better its no where near what was available in windows 10
3. Taskbar shows only partial paths of all the open explorer windows also with a previoew of the folder. in win10 i just had a vertical list of the full paths without the preview.

so in all much harder to use than win10. hoping there are workarounds for these

Hello NickXie, and welcome. :alien:

Luckily, you can hover the pointer on the tab to actually see the full path in a pop-up.
