Do browsers clean cache regularly or I have to?

I have a few browsers on my Windows 11 Pro PCs; e.g., Edge, Chrome, Thorium, and Brave. Do they clean up their own cache files? Or I have to manually clean them regularly?

Most browsers can be set to clear this when you close the browser. You can select what is cleared.
Otherwise, you may be able to set a schedule with CCleaner but I am not sure.

You may want to search for Add-Ons/Extensions for each browser.

Generally no. If you use Private Browsing, that portion of the cache is wiped out on exit. The normal way it's handled, is you configure an upper limit on the cache size (in MB's).

When the cache hits the limit, your browser will automatically throw away the oldest, least used content to recover enough space to store fresh content. At their highest point, the cache will remain near the limit size. This is similar to setting a fixed Windows paging file. Your browser will use no more than the allotted size in the configs.

Some browser add-on's, tools, or cleanup apps (CC Cleaner) can help by cleaning the cache (usually by wiping them). Some can run on a schedule.

Typically you don't need to clean a browser's cache, except if you have privacy concerns (about tracking) or experience site-related issues where clearing expired content may help.

This raises the question how do you change the cache size in Chrome? My PCs are around 320 MB.

You have to. Generally when the browser cache gets to a capacity limit you set in the browser settings, the browser will purge older stuff to make room for new. But if you want to purge the entire cache, you need to do it yourself.
