My Printer Is HP Deskjet 1000 J110 Series But I May Need A Driver For It Because I Saw A Window Telling Me To Get HP Smart From The Microsoft Store But I Knew There Would Be A Better Way To Do It, And That Was Installing Full Webpack But When I Used The Printer On A Computer Running Windows 7 It Had An Error Installing A Driver And It Failed To Install The Webpack But It Was Complete On My Windows 11 Computer But I May Get The Same Problem Of It Not Printing. And Yes, I Have Printed Stuff With It Before.

I never install the Full Webpack because it includes optional software I don't need or want. Instead I install just the Basic Driver. In your case it is the "HP Deskjet 1000 Printer series - J110 Basic Driver". On the HP website select the appropriate driver for Windows 7 and install it on the Windows 7 computer.

HP Smart is an HP Printer App UWP, thus can only be installed on Windows 8/10/11.

Hence the error message for Windows 7.

It is optional and gives you quick access to certain Printer features on Windows 8/10/11, for Windows 7 you should have the HP Printer Assistant.

The full feature driver includes the basic driver, installer, and optional software which you can deselect if you wish, so you may just as well use that. You can always uninstall the optional software after trying it out.

I never install HP Smart because I find it annoying. I only install the Basic Driver because it contains everything I need. I use the same HP Printer Assistant on all versions of Windows including Windows 7, 10, and 11.

BTW, Full Feature Driver = Basic Driver + Optional Software. If one never installs the Optional Software then why waste your time with this. Just install the Basic Driver so you never have to worry about it.

The software on the CD would have been old anyways so you shouldn't use it. Did you go to the HP website? If you do just download and install the Basic Driver. Do not install HP Smart no matter what HP says. It is just their way to get you to buy an ink subscription.

Imporant: make sure your printer is connected to the computer and turned on before you install the driver software.

Post #2 provides the correct link.
Personally, I always install the full software suite and it is one of the items available on that linked page [44.7MB].

That linked page also provides a link for HP Print & scan doctor. I suggest you download that aswell. I've only ended up using it a couple of times but, on both occasions, it managed to fix the problems I'd been having when no amount of random poking about on my part had managed to do so.
