Hi,

Is it possible to merge 2 bitlocker encrypted partitions?

If yes, can it be done with command prompt commands (hypothetically, which I would prefer), or would I need to use a 3rd party app?

If not, is clean install the only solution?

Hoping to hear from you,

Thanks.

Any command prompts to check for health or sfc /scannow?

Have a question about your system specs...how are you able to run W11 with 8 gigs of memory. Is it tweaked, debloated? Mine uses max 9 GB of 16, all stock...

Thanks 🙏

Huh - You can run Windows 11 in as low as 2GB albeit slow.

8GB is plenty of space.

There is something wrong with your pc if routinely using 9 GB. I only use 4.6 GB out of 16 GB

An easier way is to run:
reagentc /disable

Then delete both the recovery and D: partitions. Then extend C: to fill the rest of the space.

Really?

What would you recommend, clean install, malware check etc. to make memory usage around 4-5, like yours?

BTW, I did a clean install 2 weeks back....

Some screen captures, with 3 Brave bower tabs, and 2 MS Off Word documents opened, approx. +6 used.

Am using wireless KB mouse and BT speakers attached.....

Thanks.

@cereberus , is it to do with advanced settings> visual effects, page file etc.?

Is it likely that the One Drive trying to reinstall, as @garlin , pointed?

I clean installed using Rufus + W11 USB flash drive.

Would be a nightmare to perform another clean install, 1 week patients affected alongside my favorite pitchers and batters playing WT20 cup in Australia...….o_O

Thanks.

@cereberus , just struck my mind, when I clean installed 2 weeks back, I saw 2 x W11 in TreeSize, the new and an old W11, which I manually deleted.....any ideas how the old showed up despite all drives during install were deleted?

Secondly, One Drive started automatically, after signed in to my MS account during install before completion?

Thanks.

@garlin , care to jump in with your extreme expertise, would appreciate.

The system had default 8 gigs of memory which I customized before placing the order to 16.....so Dell in away felt 8 was ample for W11.....

Thanks.

@NavyLCDR , 809 MB wouldn't give an option to delete, only help, D got deleted but can't extend C since that is still there, any recommendations.

With a good backup scheme, you don't really need the recovery partition.

Yep, yep.
With a good backup scheme, you don't really need the recovery partition.
If you run the reagentc /disable command before deleting the recovery partition, you can re-instate the recovery environment with reagentc /enable.

Yep.
I just decided, I didn't need it at all.
With Macrium's bootable media, you can access the internet and the command prompt.

I really can't think of a situation where I would need more than that.
