Hello there!
I have an ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-I GAMING WIFI and before now I never heard about Intel GNA.
Once you sent me a list of drivers for my motherboard and the Intel GNA drivers were not mentioned.
Today searching the net for Intel GNA I came along with this thread of a guy with my same motherboard where you mention him to also install the Intel GNA drivers.
Is it a feature that has been enabled with some Bios update?
Thanks.

Hi,

These Intel GNA drivers are necessary (and visible Intel GNA device in your Device Manager, in System devices category) only if Intel GNA is enabled in your BIOS.

I assume you will ask me what is Intel GNA (Gaussian & Neural Accelerator), so :

Intel said:
The purpose of Intel GNA is to offload the CPU during some computations. The primary intended usage (but not limited to) is the Automated Speech Recognition domain.
OpenVINO said:
The Intel Gaussian & Neural Accelerator is a low-power neural coprocessor for continuous inference at the edge.

Intel GNA is not intended to replace typical inference devices such as the CPU, graphics processing unit (GPU), or vision processing unit (VPU). It is designed for offloading continuous inference workloads including but not limited to noise reduction or speech recognition to save power and free CPU resources.

MoKiChU latest Intel INF provides just Device Manager ID names for GNA device (without driver sys file self).

Hi,

Intel(R) GNA - xxxx device It's just a "place holder" device from the Intel Chipset Drivers.

The Intel Chipset Drivers are called drivers but they are not really drivers, they have nothing "functional/active" (without .sys drivers files), they just serve to recognize the product names in Device Manager to identify/index all the pieces of the chipset.

You need the "functional/active" driver (with .sys driver file) from the first post of this thread if you have enabled Intel GNA, the device will be called Intel(R) GNA Scoring Accelerator module in your Device Manager.

Hi everyone,

If Intel DTT is enabled in your BIOS but have trouble using Intel APO, follow these processes with the last drivers :

CLEANUP

/!\ If you already had Intel Application Optimization installed /!\
Uninstall it (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC
Launch Driver Store Explorer > Check the boxes of all versions of these drivers (if you find them) :
dtt_ext.inf | dtt_sw.inf | dttcfg_ext.inf | dttcfg_sw.inf | dttui_ext.inf | dttui_sw.inf | ipf_acpi.inf | ipf_cpu.inf | ipf_ef_ext.inf | ipf_ef_sw.inf
Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button

INSTALL

Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > Automatic restart when install is done
Go in "Apps" folder > Install your app from the Microsoft Store shortcuts
