[DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx & Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx)


Hello MoKiChU and thank you for your work. I had a much older version of your drivers installed. I came back today to update my drivers. I followed the steps to clean everything first. I have an ASUS Z790 Extreme and I downloaded ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.0.9567.1. After the install I installed all the apps from the MS store. My sound works but the realtek app will not open. It hangs for a while and then says "Cannot connect to RPC service". Any idea what I could do? I tried removing the app and reinstalling it but the same thing happens. Thank you!

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (AMD 5xx/6xx/TRX40 & Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx).

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

I'm having some trouble. My motherboard is an x570 Dark Hero, which should be plain RTK (UAD - ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME RTK)* per the site which makes no mention of SS3 for this board.

*I did try using the RTK+SS3 (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3) driver as well, as the stock asus driver mentions SS3, but the same issue occurred. It's strange that other motherboards from Asus mention SS3 on the specs, but this one does not, yet it seems to include SS3 with driver. Very weird.

I followed the instructions to a tee, and although the drivers install, the service / startup process for realtek does not install. So Realtek Audio Console just gets an RPC error.

Am I selecting the wrong driver for this mobo? It seems like no matter what I do, I cannot get the Realtek Helper Service to install. If I use the stock drivers (RV_Audio_RTK_UWD_SS3_TP_W11_64_V6093591_20220616R), everything works first try.

Per the instructions, I am force deleting all avolute/hdx/realtek(audio) drivers. Nothing DTS is ever installed so that is ignored. I've also tried just uninstalling the base drivers with Realtek's normal uninstall, but still no dice. Tried doing this without the internet disconnected, just in case windows update was doing something between restarts, and that didn't help either.

Could you possibly clarify on the main post how someone can determine what they have? Unless I missed it, the spec sheet and user guide both make no mention of SS3 nor DTS for this board, so I had absolutely no idea. I also had 0 DTS drivers in Driver Explorer by default.

I'm sorry about that. On the Asus site I jumped directly to the Tech Specs page, which does not mention this. I just straight up missed this when CTRL+F in the manual, maybe I had the wrong element selected when I began the search.
