I read somewhere that the 1000XM4's have Memory Foam gels, where as the others have silicone gels which may cause an issue with them falling out of your ear easily, depending on the size/shape of your ears.
Ever have any problem with that?

The XM4s has some form of foam yeah. Not silicone. Once you get them in your ears and the foam expands, it is very tight. Have to play around with the different sized thingies. There is even a test program for this that tells you which ones were the best for your ears.

Funny thing is I have been wearing ear gear years before naff visually obtrusive earbuds ever came about.

As a deaf person, I require hearing aids and have connected them to bluetooth via a neckloop adapter which you can hide under T shirts.

Today, went for hearing test and will be getting new aids which have built in bluetooth, so will not need a neckloop even

Not only that, they are more discreet lol than blooming earbuds (plus I get then free on NHS).

The Sony's, (and Jabra's), are tops in my book!

The Sony's sound is awesome..., the Bluetooth range is incredible!

The App is much improved!
Functionality is sufficient.
Comfortable enough to wear for hours on end.

The canisters may be a bit large for small ears.

When the buds are in use, the app is a bit of a battery hog, unless you remove it from background apps.

When watching TV, I like the sound a bit louder than my wife does. Any headphone recommendations for me?

Edit: I like good quality, but I am not an audiophile, the goal is comfortable listening levels for each one of us. I also have no idea how to hook up wireless headphones to the TV

If the TV doesn't have a wireless headphone/speaker outlet you'll probably have to buy an adapter. Years ago I bought a bluetooth adapter that I use to plug into the headphone jack. It was a receiver/transmitter. It was something like this. This is only an example of the adapter I bought. Edit: I almost forgot. This is the one I use on my desktop. It works great and with this I have listend to my headphone from across the street. Well, my new NHS hearing aids are bluetooth streaming compatible and work on Android phones using the new low powerASHA protocol.

The feature I like is you can turn off hearing aid microphones when streaming to them. Great in a noisy environment.

I no longer need a bluetooth/T-coil neckloop adaptor for android streaming but I need one for using MS Teams as pc does not support ASHA.

Fortunately, my new hearing aids are dual bluetooth / T-coil compatible which is fairly uncommon.

Of course, no matter what hearing aids you have, they have one advantage over natural hearing i e. you can switch them off - great when Dave down the pub is droning on LOL.

Really strange bug with my Sony C500's...
... 99% of the time, I take the right bud out of the case and put it in my ear, then the left bud...
when I put them back into the case in reverse order, the right one doesn't charge until I take them both out and immediately drop them back into the case!

This thing with ear buds still takes me by surprise, every day...
Arrive somewhere in your car, shut the car off, you expect the music to stop... nope!

I've tried all sorts of earbuds and never found any I could keep in for more than 30 minutes, I spotted the Bose Ultra open earbuds yesterday and they looked like they would finally be the ones I could get along with - so I took a punt and ordered them, they arrived earlier and they are really comfy, I could probably leave them in all day

Hmmm, there seems to be a fair delay between the earbuds and youtube

Ouch, that's not good.

Are you using an equaliser app? I found that the ones I tried caused delay. I do without now.
