Easeus Todo Backup 2022.2 takes forever to start

OS
Windows 11 Pro
Ordinary PC - 12900, 64 GB memory, most everybody on SSDs, Windows 11 Pro

I had one of the older free versions of Todo Backup on the system and it popped open virtually instantly.

It wanted to update the other day so I let it, and it appears to be 2022.2 now.

And it takes a VERY long time to open - it's pushing a minute or more every time I open it. Is everybody having this problem with the current version or is mine doing something bizarre that's taking forever?

Well, it sounds like it's just yours.
Do you have a backup from before the EaseUS update?

Might want to restore to that and try the update again, or possibly check the EaseUS forums, to see if anyone else is having a similar problem.

It sounds to me like it's just a garbled update, but that's just a guess.

I don't know what AV you're running, but sometimes outrageously delayed starts are the AV over-reacting for some reason.

And from the "way out in left field" department... is there some EaseUS "setting" that's causing the delay? Something like...
"check all my drives to see if there's any lost backups", or something silly like that?

If it were me, I would...

1. Check EaseUS forums.
2. Restore from a backup, and either try the update again, or ignore the update... or possibly both.
3. Check how my AV is reacting to the new update.

P.S. Sometimes... System Restore spends a long time "trying" to make a restore point, IF System Restore is running.
I always disable System Restore on all drives.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
I would recommend uninstalling it and then reinstalling. A good util for removing all remnants of a previous installation is to use Revo Uninstaller. If that doesn't work you could always revert to a backup as Ghot stated above.

The EaseUS forum is where I tried to start. Doesn’t even come up. On ANY of my browsers.

Uninstalled and reinstalled. No difference.

I believe I’ve still got 13.5 available, so I think I’ll go back to that.

Thanks for the replies.

GracieAllen, if you didn't use something like Revo Uninstaller you didn't really remove all of that installation (registry entries) etc.... Let us know how v13.5 goes?
